Guess I'll add one more outing to this thread.
Had to take advantage of today's lack of sun and cool temps. Fished from 10am until 12:30pm, water temp got up to 82 degrees with a little drizzle when we left at 1pm, the air temp was only 76 degrees while yesterday it was 92 degrees at 2pm. The fish were active and caught most of the 7 smallies in the first hour, lost a couple and towards the end of the outing caught 1 LM (16.5") and lost 2 others. Three of the larger SM came four feet out of the water (eye level) on three or four jumps, thrilling to see and one almost jumped into the boat. I thought that I was going to loose the one that tried to join us in the boat after the line got hooked up on two other rods (one of the problems of having multiple rods with two people in a 12' boat) and then around the trolling motor shaft but was able to get him to pose for a picture and it had only one barb of the treble in the tip of it's lower jaw. Pictures of the two best.
