That row boat stuff up there on those massive New York lakes is insane !
The reason being is that water is directly pumped to New York City for potable water, and the saying, "city water is the best water"
Rumor had it they were going to start allowing electric motors if you had a sealed battery, then 9/11 hit and that was the end of that. There are some MONSTAH browns in those lakes with very little pressure at all.

all you need is a big fancy white umbrella for that row boat and you'd be set! looks like a cool place, i've never been.
