Lard Almighty has the info you need. I’m sure there’s others that will chime in eventually.

Mick Maynard is the best. Lake champlain anglers guide service. You would stay in a motel in Plattsburgh. He is almost booked up for the year so you may not be able to get the dates that you want. If so try Pete at Adirondack guide service. He has a lodge.

Lard is the expert for sure but I can also vouch for both:

Mick/Lakechamplainangler.com- He was booked when we tried to use him but he hooked us up with a guy named Randy Savage (no shit his name is Randy Savage not kidding). He was a great guy and knew the lake really well and provides gear/tackle. So you could try to find him if Mick is all booked. We stayed at Point Au Roche Lodge (pointaurochelodge.com) in there cottage right on the lake (pointaurochelakeside.com/properties/) Great spot and my wife caught a nice Pike right off the shore from there while enjoying a glass of wine! I did not...just in case you were wondering.

and...

Adirondackchamplainguideservice.com - They have a place called Long Pond Lodge which is right on (you guessed it) Long Pond which has some great LM fishing as well. They can arrange multiple boats/guides if you need it. If you stay there you get great breakfast plus a packed lunch for the day you use a guide. And you can use there jon boats for free to fish the "pond" if you are not using a guide for the big lake (bring your own trolling motor and battery - I can lend you one if you need) . The "pond" is a mile and half long and has all kinds of weed cover. Me and the wife did well there.

It is Gods country up there...you will love it.

Best of luck...look forward to the story as I know you will have one! Ha!

Good idea getting a guide. I went up last year without a guide and caught loads of fish, only problem was we only caught 2 smallmouth and that was our target, and loads of lmbs.

It's a big lake and took us 2 days to find fish and only 2 to hammer on them. I think a guide would be well worth the price
