not sure if you have wrapped a rod before. If not I would recommend taking class from mud hole. You get everything you need included to build a rod and most importantly some hands on instruction. Well worth the investment. Once you get the rod building bug I would then go join the Nerbs headed up by Billy Vivona who is one of the top builders in the country who is willing to share all of his knowledge he has accumulated over the years so you can avoid many of the mistakes that many to the rod building hobby make. For those that do not know him and just read post he may come across as a real a hole but in reality he is one of the most genuine giving people you will ever meet. Many of the best builders out there would not be able to do what they do if it were not for him
