Spiral wrap

Please be aware that a Left-handed (non-level-wind) conventional reel must have the Spiral transition to the right - unless you have really long fingers

Like others have mentioned, spiral wrap or acid wrap simply takes the twisting and turning of the rod in your hands especially on larger fish and heavier sinkers totally out of the question. It allows the angler to apply all the power and torque into fighting the fish, not fighting the rod!
