A rather large bar across the bottom of my android tablet.
Worst part is the bar stays on the screen when you type.

on my pc the bar is on the left side of the screen with the + sign on the bottom, if I put my cursor below the + a hide option appears (doesn't stay hidden tho). see if there's one to the right of the bar on your droid to hide it while typing.

the buttons cover up stuff on the screen and do not remember that you have closed them!
