I haven't been fishing the areas long enough to really answer that accurately. My efforts are such a small data set so a response would be merely subjective. I've also been out a lot more this yr as my youngest is now 2.5 which makes things a bit easier for me.

I have caught more this year, though, at a multitude of spots. I think the rain plays a significant role. We had a wet late spring. Water levels were higher. Fish moved. Perhaps more came into the canal and made their way north? I put a lot of time in. I pay attention to many details and I'm pretty relentless. I don't stop casting lol. The average angler soaking bait a few times a week or casually tossing artificial in the same areas I'm fishing isn't going to catch consistently. I've had many skunked nights, too.

It'll be a banner year when I slug a 30" walleye. For now, it's just been consistent lol...
