My father has been fishing yellow or white power pro for years. I fish green and there has been no difference in production of one or the other. We fish with a 36 to 40 inch flouro leader.

I have always use a line to line uni knot. learned it 20 years back from a tarpon guide I knew in florida. holds up well and I use it fresh or salt. recently my buddy showed me a more streamlined knot for joining mono and braid but the name escapes me, ill ask and repost. maybe its me but i believe the less metal, aside from the hook lol, the better. just an opinion. btw leader material is seagar invis-x

The Alberto knot is my go to knot for joining braid to mono. Very simple to tie and a much smaller profile then the uni to uni so it passes through you rod guides better.

I start off with a FG Knot which I tie at home.... you can't beat the slim profile to go right through the guides..... seems difficult at first, but the more you tie them the quicker you get at it, and Super Strong.....and if I have to re-tie another leader on the spot I'll use an Alberto knot which is quick, strong and still a thin profile.

I second the FG. I tie it at home, leave the leader a little longer and I've never had to retie. I go a little overboard with the wraps to make super sure it's bullet-proof. I caught a 30+ pound jack crevalle from the beach in Bermuda this past September and I had to lock down the drag on my Slammer III 6500 to prevent it from going into the reef and then a group of swimmers. It was 50-lb. braid and 30-lb. fluoro.
