![]() ordered 8# izorline, gonna use a can of real magic I have on it (know it's not pure), will update results. thanks!
also going to use 4# p line on another reel with real magic this time to see if it helps.......more to come. update 8/22- I strung both new reels as per above taking great care to minimize line irregularities. sprayed a lint free cloth with the reel magic and ran line thru it while stringing. got out this morning for an hour to test the lines. both laid flat and cast long although I still get the tip loop more than I'd like. didn't see any oil from the RM as I've read. overall as happy as I was the last time I tried copolymer, hope it holds up. ![]() update on conditioned Izorline 27035 Platinum Co-Polymer Mono Line, 8 lb, clear on KastKing Mela Spinning Reel mounted on Daiwa EXE701MLXS Medium Light Action Exceler Spinning Rod (1-Piece), 7-Feet.
Used four times, line lays flat and still throws good distances but today it developed a complicated wind knot (pulled out but left area wavy) also starting to notice twisted sections, ideas? Last edited by tycomps; 12-21-2017 at 11:54 AM.. |

![]() ya those wind knots could be a pain. usually caused from slack line being wound on top of it. honestly I close my bail by hand a lot of times and , especially in a stiff wind, once the bail is closed ill grab the line above the reel and pull it tight . also line conditioner may help. reel magic or kvd brands are two I have used but im sure there are others.
if its wavy after it pulls out the line has been weakend so clip and re tie |

![]() What type of lure u throwing? I have noticed that I get twists with lures that you wouldn't normally think. Tubes Ned rigs and drop shots come to mind.
Try stretching out the line. Much easier in a boat. Let out just the line at idle speed for a couple hundred feet close the bail and "troll" with it for a distance then reel it in while still moving. Usually gets them out.
