I don't know what towns are where, but if you're anywhere near manchester, stop into 'the reel angler' shop and tell him you know chris pereira, it's my wife's uncle's shop. he'll either hook you up or chase you out with a gun...

Grout Pond isn't too far from Okemo and has some nice bass fishing. Echo Lake is a little closer and has some good trout and bass fishing. There are places that rent kayaks or canoes, if you want to get out on a lake.
The Black River is a good stream to try and is nearby. I've caught a few trout there. The Deerfield River is not a long drive and has some good trout fishing. There are also a lot of smaller streams that are good for trout. Grab your rod and drive around and look for a likely looking spot. Last edited by briansnat; 08-01-2017 at 10:40 PM.. |

I have only been to bomoseen a few times so that's all I know. im sure youll find something. I love Vermont .

The Black River near Cavendish VT (not to be confused with the Black River farther north) has a trophy trout section.
