Default Re: froggin

I've used booyah pad crashers, Bass Pro, scum frog, and all produce about the same if the fish are in the mood for fogs on tops. Gotta wait on the hook set for sure and once the hook is set I never had a problem with them coming unbuttoned. I even smash the barbs down all the time...i do this to all my hooks/lures to make it easier on the release and if a bass gets gut hooked.

Key thing is to have a senko or similar rigged up on another rod. If a bass blows up on the frog but misses throw that right into the spot and let it sink...they will take it more times than not. That has worked for me so many times it's stupid. And every time it happens I can't believe it works. It's a must have for frog fishin in my book. nothing beats a frog bite.
