Default Another baby whale, Jay! Post-super moon walleye challenges my PB by a hair
Whacked another toad last night. Third fish this year 28+". I'm beside myself. I've only been targeting walleye for 3 seasons. I couldn't believe the sheer size of this fish's head and beer belly. When her gills flared I could've stuffed a softball in its mouth with ease. She dumped line and fought well. The cold water has them full of spunk. During the release I barely set her in the water and she soaked me as she took off.

Had another too. She measured just shy of 24". Also had nibbles and strikes that I missed. Love my nite trips whether catching or not. But last night was certainly more chicken than feathers!

Probably, maybe a smidge longer. Maybe not. Tough measuring solo at night on very uneven ground while all jacked up on coffee and adrenaline. Pain in the arse!
