I was there on Saturday early at the same times and the hybrid fishing wasn't nearly as good as last week, but I found a school around the same area as the prior week and got into a pretty good bite that abruptly ended around 1030 am when the fish scattered off my chart. The prior week, the bite had gone on heavy into the afternoon. Surprising since Saturday was much more overcast than the prior week.
In addition to a hand full of hybrids, I got a couple of catfish as well suspending like you said. I found the hybrids down 15' two weeks in a row and really congregating in a small area. Second time I've ever targeted them and can't believe how hard they fight. |
