PHENOMINAL Whiting Fishing Today

More On Todays Trip

Conditions were AWFUL

5 to 10 out of North East and 2 to 3 foot seas was more like 10 to 20 out of North East and seas 4 to 6 with swells to 8 and bigger

Our game plan was to go for Whiting first and after 4 hours go for Haddock and Pollack. Based on Haddock reports from other boats our Captain recommended we stay with Whiting and Ling and occasional Haddock rather than head 45 Minutes further out and take a beating in the conditions we were dealt

Once again the Captain made the right decision as for 5 anglers we had close to 275 Fish with the majority of the Whiting being in the Baseball Bat Variety

Good Majority Of The Whiting Were In The 2 to almost 4 Lb Range

They really don't bother with them up there it costs too much to fish for them.
