Funny! He wont travel north to Raritan Bay, you think Rhode Island has hope?
Warm water. Shallows and some late arriving migrants off shore.

18 fish over 5 lbs. biggest going 8.6 lbs. and bucktails. Fish feeding on whole squid and sand eels.

Based on time of year and water temps you need to go were fish are most likely to be and feeding.

Water definitely needs to warm. With the weather we have coming I'd give it a 2-3 weeks

Wasn't being sarcastic ED. It just made me laugh this AM. Thanks.

Personally I think with the Sandy aftermath and all the beach replenishment that all the "normal" spots don't produce as well because the fish have changed their patterns seeking bait that cant "hold up" in the same areas as they used to. The bottom has changed drastically and so bait and predators are taking different paths to meet up. I think we have to search for some New Lumps, Spots etc in varying depths to find the bodies of fish we know exist instead of expecting them to be where we usually fish.

And in our exploratory trips, that's exactly what we are looking for on the finder, those "new" spots that are holding the fish that may not have been the marks to stop on before. Everyone says" do your homework", and that's what we are doing, exploring here and there......
