Tear drop gives away a chain pickerel, but the rest doesn't look like it. Get better photos anyway. The state does stock muskies in the canal, at least has fairly recent.

Interesting catch. I would like a redfin pickerel for my aquarium. This is a pic of a Redfin pickerel on the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commision website. It looks very similar to the one you caught.  /
