The Merganser attack was the highlight of the day for me ...here's Andy's
Thank goodness for decent weather on Friday, as Saturday was too blowy. The first picture of the Brown that Andy posted is beautiful! I took that one with my 5 year old flip phone!! ![]() ![]()

Sounds and looks like a good trip. Rough seeing that tiger on a stringer.
Those wild fish are so damn pretty!

I'd love to do a trip like that. Any info you could give me would be great like drop in locations. Is there a place to camp? Where did you store you canoe when at the hotel. I'd like to go in September. Thanks in advance

Here is a good article...drop in locations are easy to find based on where they are marked on the map. There is a campground just upstream from the narrowsburg ramp, and I think they have their own launch. Don't try to navigate through skinners falls, I'd launch at narrowsburg and pull out at an unmarked ramp called ten mile River on the NY side maybe 6 miles down. Though if you're after trout you're better off further upstream than narrowsburg (calicoon and up). If that's your target, there is another campground (called landers) just above skinners falls with their own launch as well. |
