Canoe outrigger help

man its cold out. I didn't fasten them or anything but you can get the idea here. let me know if you have any questions, I have a piece left over of the pvc stuff if you want it. Im not sure if its trex, but its the same kind of exterior pvc trim thing. im thinking about drilling some other stuff into the pvc since its not structural for pliers, beer holder, cigar ashtray, essential kind of stuff like that.

Cool! Thanks! I was thinking of trying to get the plank whether Trex or cedar or whatever capable of being strapped on top of the rails so it could be moved towards the bow or stern pending if I'm going solo (in reverse positioning) or going out with others. This was definitely helpful!

theres more than a few ways to do it and a simple diy job. no way i would buy those pre made off the shelf outriggers for like $200 that's just crazy.

I totally agree with you on that. Plus I already have the crab pot floats and will be getting the forearm crutches in a day or two.

I own the sailboats2go outriggers. They are expensive, but they work. To be honest and like you said, if you are handy you can build your own outriggers and I bet they would work just as good or better than the expensive store bought ones.
