Quote:
Everybody has their own tolerance to poison ivy. There are some people on this board that are apparently immune to poison ivy exposure (like Fast Eddie ) on one end of the spectrum and those that end up in the emergency room of their local hospital after a minor exposure on the other end of the spectrum. Personally, no matter how much poison ivy I have to walk through, if I can wash up before the end of the day, I'll be fine. If I let it sit on my skin for 12+ hours, that area will break out in itchy blisters. .

Immunity to poison ivy does not come with a lifetime guarantee. My father never got until he did. He stayed home from work for days.

Well I'll agree with using Dawn dish soap to clean the waders! Maybe use a soft scrub brush to make sure all the oils are scrubbed out of the waders! I know some people get this poison ivy stuff really bad! That sucks I guess! Bummer! I don't get poison ivy, poison oak or poison sumac!!! I guess I'm special and have been for 39 years.....................

I second Tecnu! The stuff neutralizes PI oils on skin.... Don't see why it wouldn't work on waders.
