Okay they are attached. I am in Old Bridge right by Cheesequake State Park, but obviously would be willing to meet up wherever is convenient. Also jimmy I had messaged you about the FF you had on classifieds, is it sold?

Here is the inside. Bad angle but the hole on the bottom is lined up with the back transom bench space.

Pictures make a world of difference......u need to throw some chopped strand mat or glass mat on that and layer it up like sleeper6 posted. I have leftover glass from a deck that i did but its polyester resin and id use epoxy on that repair for strength.

How nice do u want it? It wouldnt be too much work to patch the hole but really the whole bottom needs to be sanded and filled where scrapes are and thats a wax finished surface so its gotta be aggressively sanded to get to good material. If u dont care how it looks any body shop can glass that in for cheap id think. U could then spraynpaint it and make it nice doing bondo in the scrapes. Or get westmarine 2part and a sander and do it urself not that hard honestly. I could help but it would be some time im swamped right now. If ur at all handy youtube vids show this repair and how simple it is. I have plenty of 2oz chopped strand if u want some and can give u some glass and resin and wax. Im by LH

west Marine is minutes away from you. Take a ride and see if you can get some help there. This is a messy time consuming job but it isn't hard to do. They. Ishtar even have keel guard that could be made to fit.

I do not care at all how it looks. I will be throwing it in and out of the back of my pick up so it is nond to get acraped up again. I wont be selling it even when I upgrade so looks are the least of my concern. I am handy in the slightest sense but this is just out of my comfort zone. All this glass, resin, bondo and epoxy talk is just incredibly foreign to me and the last thing I want is to mess it up and find out at the worst time. It is a tiny boat so I'm sure it wouldnt take long til I'm swimming to sure minus a grand in gear plus my little Das Boot. I appreciate all the offers and understand how busy everyone is so whenever you have free time I guess let me know. If it's not for awhile Ill try West Marine. Do they do actual repairs there?

eh, that's not that bad, i'd just sand it down a little, stuff some matt in the hole and lay some marinetex on it. sand it down a little and put a second layer of marinetex. repeat in a couple years as needed.

nothing is going to hold up long term to scraping like that, so fixing it the "right way" is just going to take you longer and cost you more.

If you bring a quart of 435 Resin and a quart of 3M Glass Bubbles (optional, only needed if you want to make it pretty) from US Composites and bring them over with the boat I'd be willing to spend a few hours on a weekend to make the repair with you. I have enough leftover glass and other misc supplies around to make up the rest of what we would need.
