If you discharge to say 40% then even on a group 31 with a 105 amp hour capacity you need 65 amp hours to get back to full. Five amps for 14 hours is 70 amp hours. It isn't that simple. Recharging starts faster and slows as it gets to full but this is the general context. In other words, not to worry.

Anthony....If you have not already made your purchase...I have the Dual ProŽ Recreation Series 2 Bank Battery Charger that has 6 amps per bank and it has been great for me. It's an "onboard" charger but I have never mounted it to my boat and use it like a portable. It is fully automatic for all battery types and goes into a maintenance mode at full charge so you can leave it plugged in all the time. It will definitely charge your batteries over night...I've run 31 and 29's and never had an issue. It's available online for $119 free shipping if you look around. Highly recommend it. I do not know if any of our local sponsors carry it but you may want to ask on the boating board...good to spend $'s locally when we can and those guys can usually do the same prices on these things in most cases.
Hope this helps.

I swear by the minnkota chargers Ive had them in all my boats. I run 31 series always and never had a problem w an overnight charge w 5 amps per bank, I run 10amps now and only takes a few hours. I havent run mine past 50% ever and I troll all day w my bowmount and fish current in rivers too without an anchor

Anthony not sure if you pulled the trigger on a charger but minnkota has put out their 2016 rebates. Chargers are $30-$50 off
