If ur pulling rigs/spoons then I would opt for the 4/0 fast Senator, small profile barrel swivels can be used to connect wire to backing. I used a tight BARREL wrap on wire side with doublre wire thru swivel eye . Mark wire using 3 M colored lecrical tape starting, SOME USE TELEPHONE WIRE BOTH WORK FINE at 150'then every 50' to complte 300'. If area ur fishing the rocks then u can easily work 150' add drails when required to obtain more depth.
I always carried a exta spool of 150' rready TO GO & A 300' DITTO IN CASE U LOST WIRE pre marked.
Guides full carbide always worked best for me. Always use outrodders when trolling wire ,if ur in a small boat keeps them separated on turns. WhenHOOKED UP DO NOT STOP BOAT LOOSE WIRE WILL DROP AND SNAG KEEP GOING UNTIL U CLEAR OR IF SMALL FISH JUST KEEP POWERING AHEAD,SLOW DOWN BUT DONT STOP.
