Default D Float and the Monks

Met up with a gang of good friends this past weekend at Driftstone Campground in Mt. Bethel PA. They have their own launch ramp so it's an awesome place to relax and recreate on the river. We did 2 drifts from the Portland PA access back to the campground on our yaks. The first fish I caught was my first ever Delaware wally on the old reliable floating Rapala. The usual Deleware smallies cooperated and we probably averaged half a dozen on each float. I was also vertical jigging one of the deeper pools looking for another big D eyeball and got a striper about 8". My phone was in overheat mode from sitting in my deck box so no pic of the jr. stripe but here's the wally. 15"ish

Then this past Tuesday i was supposed to meet buddy after work to pick up some new gear, but he was stuck in the turnpike truck fire traffic. Quick change'o'plans and i had the Mugger on the ramp at Monks around 6:30 with my buddy Fonz. As usual Monks wasn't giving up its secretes so we made a move to a spot i never fished before and within minutes, bam! My new PB at 26". Quickly measured, photo'd and released. The only thing we caught that night.
