Like certain things in life Andy, it's all about the angle lol. Downward pressure on the hook makes a clearer path for the barb I guess. It was the first time I've ever buried a hook in myself. Hopefully the last!

Nice Stripes!! Glad everyone got some action!!

Last time I buried a hook in my hand was getting the gear out of the car at the first spot we hit that day, go figure. Dont even know how it happened. Definately wasn't gonna call it a day before we even started so I got out the pliers, took a deep breath, and ripped it out!! After a quick spray and a bandage, we were fishing in no time.........

Ouch man. Glad everything came out ok. I had a similar experience with short strikes on Thursday night. Very frustrating. Going to put bigger books on the Zspook for this week.

Crazy night aboard GetANet for sure! Expected much better results but came away with a few fatties! Kellys was def the thickest fish for sure. we tried several types of lures but only the majic bait was workin it's vodoo! The hook removal at 3:00 am in the rain with 12lb test was quite a nerve wracking experince for both the doc and patient. I said "Do you want me to try and get it out or else it's a trip to the ER. So we decided to give it a go. The look on my daughters face was pricless as we proceeded to remove it! Wet hands and sight not the best with details I took a deep breath as well and felt I had the angle right and just yanked! POP out it came and smiles and high fives were flying all
around the boat!!!!
Wait till he gets the bill for that one!!!!!

Here's a few pics from the night of a few of mine and Kelly's fish, ENJOY!!!
