TE was the ultimate casting reel in its day. CT-B is great reel but you are not comparing apples with apples. If your main goal is casting then look at Calcutta D. If you just want an all around very good baitcasting reel then go with CT-B. I would stay away from a TE as in time there will be a parts availability issue.
