Yes, my superior skill and unrestrained greed decimated our flounder stocks. Those 3 trips a year added up over the decade of flounder erotica. AND, it was infectious. I definitely miss spring winter flounder fishing. It is a tradition now lost!

I miss it as well. Picking the right day, tide and location lots of chum and salted mussels and putting triple digits in the boat a handful of times a year.
Fishery was and continues to be destroyed by off shore draggers in the summer who now get them and keep them as by catch in each trawl
The elimination of recreational winter flounder season has to have hurt the NJ party boat, rental bost and B&T business. Everything now starts a month or more later
Too bad. Would be great if they had a two week season in April with a 15 fish limit. Would be good for everyone and have no impact on fishery as on the two weeks may be 3 tops 4 days where weather, tide and temps conspire to make things productive
