You can catch everything in that Res from shore this time of year. Easy as apple pie, well sometimes. Lots of fish cruising the shorelines. Maybe you need lighter line! What kinda set up you using? Gotta have a Fluoro leader in that crystal clear water.

Amen,........now through the winter: Browns, rainbows, lakers,………………..& on 11/30 a few years back, a 24” largemouth (came completely out of the water 4’ in front of me to inhale the Yo Zuri).

I haven't done very well there. Tried almost everything. Drifting shiners, vertical jigging, trolling (with and without lead core), casting to the shore and rocks, casting to deeper water. In about 10 outings over the past 5 years I have maybe 2 trout, half a dozen small bass (smallies and large, none bigger than 12 inches) and maybe a few dozen rock bass (I do pretty good with them using a popper at night from shore when I'm camping).

I think one of my problems is that I don't concentrate long enough on a single species. I may go for lakers and if nothing happens in 45 minutes to an hour I start wondering if the browns and rainbows are biting and switch to going after those. If no luck there I'll break out my bass tackle. I'd probably do better if I picked a fish and stuck with it for at least half a day.

Crystal clear with a ton of fishing pressure / traffic means presentation has to be spot on. Light lines, Fluoro leaders, micro cranks on ul, dropshot rigs etc.... It's a tough bite but persistence will be rewarded.

I was there this morning w shiners from shore, 1 hit - 1 fish ....11" smallmouth. Frustrating but I'll be back next chance I get....forever chasing the elusive 5lb+ trout

I only fished RV once at the invitation of a friend from my Trout Unlimited chapter. He fishes the lake quite often and he usually does OK with the lakers and the bass. We were drifting in his boat using live shiners in areas he is familiar with. But unfortunately, we got the skunk.
