Morning Shore Fishing

I do have waders but have not used them. I always wanted to explore the south branch, but due to my lack of experience, I dont know where to start. I know getting out there and trying is how you learn, but I dont believe in practice making perfect it is productive practice that makes perfect lol. By spinners do you mean regular bass spinners or small inline spinners. Should I be targeting bass or trout? I am in old bridge if that helps with by what part of the raritan I am by.
