Sorry I did not take a better picture. I took a bunch but only the one I posted came out better the others.

But as far as doing some research on the subject, I can pretty much stake a case of anyones favorite brew on the fact that it was a white catfish.

Like mentioned one thing that threw me off is the fact that fish was hooked at night so I never gave a doubt that it was a channel cat.
