Default Knots

Since I have a mental block about tying a good dropper loop, can anyone tell me the biggest disadvantage of tying a surgeon's loop in the middle of a line versus the dropper loop. I tie the surgeon's loop passing the line through the knot 3 times instead of the recommended 2 times for a end loop. Thank you in advance for any comments you may have.

WHEN DOES BLACKFISH SEASON BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, the surgeon's loop seems to work just as well as the dropper loop..........

If anything the surgeons knot should be stronger! Great knot to replace grand banks as well ,allows u to splice hook onto leader w/o loop. Use it on many of my cod , Tog rigs . Three turns plus is the key.
