Default Grandpa savino fluke tournament

Headed over to fish the Grand pa savino tourney with Scott , Eddie and Anthony this morning. Hoping for the added money door mat division which required a ten pound plus fish just to qualify to weigh.

We beat the fluke up really hard today , with eddie doing a number on the bigger fish. actually catching the 3 fish we weighed for the tourney, coming in at 22.55 which was good enough to take home third. his biggest was 8.1

one fish over 11 pounds was weighed, taking the door mat as well as the tourney , BUT heard that fish wasnt in the calcuttas, will know for sure at the pay out meeting which is on Tuesday night.

Def liked the way this tourney was run as ALL fish weighed in were on an electronic scale right in front of the crowd. was pretty cool with the big crowd cheering on all the big fish being brought to the scales

kept our four man limit with 8 fish being over 6 pounds, a pair of those over 7 and the 8 plus

getting closer each week , just need a few more pounds

Congrats on your great trip. Wish that 11 pounder was on your stringer.
You would have had a clean sweep if that is the case. I am thinking next year will be the year that it all comes together for your crew.

Great deck shot

The tournament was great. The one thing I didn't like was not know who is in the Calcutta and who wasnt. I think that should be information put out to all that fished. Not knowing who's in the Calcutta until Tuesday is strange

Not having the payout today supposedly was based on the winners having to polygraph on Tuesday.

guess before paying out all that $$$$ on the big fish they want to prove all rules were followed and everything was legit.

def like the multi fish tourneys as we have been catching alot of fish between 6-8 pounds. but the real money in the tourneys is for those slobs over 10 pounds..
its those fish we just havent been finding

so where always searching for more BIG fish spots, but have been trying to stay out of the areas that get pounded daily, and twice as hard on tourney day.looking for some smaller pieces that will more consistantly hold those fish that are the real winners.

we are picking at it, but still have things to change to do even better.

FSOS is def one we feel we have a good shot at
