Finally got out there Monday, my trip was canceled a couple of weeks ago. Boat didn't get back to the dock until 6:15. Outstanding captain & crew. I didn't bring any special tackle or bait, just lots of rods & sinkers. Started the day with 12 oz but things calmed down & 6 oz worked for a few hours. I ended up with a 4 lb sea bass & 9 keeper fluke, 7 over 20", the largest about 5 or 6 lbs. 2 keepers were Ma legal, 17 1/2". Next year I'll be better prepared to get a 10 lber. Every fluke I caught was on the boat's strips of squid on various rigs including bucktails & Kil-R-Rigs. Sea bass was on a fresh water Gulp I've been experimenting with this year. The guy next to me had 8 keepers, all on Gulp. The pool winner (9lbs) was caught on a snapper, along with his 7 & 8 lber, all within 1/2 hour. He didn't catch much after using his last snapper. Thanks to those that responded to my earlier post.

Tuesday, I fished the Gail Frances in RI & had 5 keepers including a 7 & 8 lber. Bucktails worked around the boat with the slow drift near Block Island. Last year, I couldn't hold bottom with 16oz.

Yes, but it's violet & lavender with just a touch of fuchsia.
