Fresh water fishing is no different then salt. You will find fish in certain areas for a reason. Could be food or structure. Could be docks or soft weed lines for panfish or points, hard weed lines, drop offs etc for bigger game fish. Match these areas with a forage and your in the right area. To start I would throw some small jigs and small plastics for panfish and you can start learning the lake. Plenty of sunfish, perch, crappies and small bass to keep you busy till you wanna try for something larger.
