The shorter rods are okay for the bay, but for the ocean I prefer longer 7ft rods. The Trevala Andy mentioned is def worth looking at too, its in their higher end of rods.

Thanks. I'm leaning towards the Lami 7040 but before I pull the trigger, will look into the GLoomis...
