The finish came off the Binsky's I bought, I contacted fish sense they admitted there was a problem and did nothing, said they will still catch fish and I could color them. Yea that's why I bought a silver lure, so the finish could fall off and I could color it. Many other similar lures at better prices on the market, cicada is one.

I had the same problem with mine. Some are made of a good metal with a powder top coat. Used one last fall on the D, gold paint came off after a few casts. I was left with a white Binsky once all that paint chipped off. Seemed to be a much cheaper product was used to mold the main body of this Binksy!!!!

If You blades ALOT then you could always make your own......they dont have the fancy eyes but they work just as well. I made some this winter in a bunch of different sizes and colors....3/8oz, 1/2oz, and 3/4oz. Zonar and shad heads both work. Helped me get through the winter without pulling my hair out.
This site has everything you'll need.

The Binskys are pretty fragile. The finish peels and you can bend them easily if you aren't careful when unhooking fish. Johnson makes a very similar lure (The Thinfisher) that is cheaper and far more durable. I've started replacing my Binskys with the Thinfishers as I lose them or they fall apart.

X 2 on the Thinfisher, it's what I've been using and had proven itself to be pretty robust thus far with just some minor scratches, no major peeling.

The Thinfishers also come in more colors and sizes. Don't get me wrong, I like the Binskys. They catch fish. But they aren't cheap and considering what you pay for them I think they should be a bit better made.

Thinfishers are unfortunately only available up to 1/2oz size, while Binskys are available up to 3/4oz size. For jigging deep water Walleyes in windy conditions like I find myself doing every fall, that's a big difference.

binskys have a better action that ANY of the lures mentioned.....the thinfisher, the sonar, the others all work but not as well IMO and most of u kno how much I use them on everything in the water. personally I kno the owner and hes a NJ local and the 3/4 size is hard to find. Only the chrome and golds flake the colors are good. I just spray paint em or use them as is, they catch stripers and eyes better when theyre peeled up LOL
