Default 4/17/14 Troutin

Hit Nomehagan Park for some trout this morning. Using powerbait, had couple run offs but no hook ups. Worms produced sunnies. Toss a lure to no avail. Headed over to Echo Lake. Place was pretty busy, but no one doing anything really. Apparently they have been killing them on fat head minnows. Need to see where I can get them, and where to give tomorrow a shot. Slow day!

The North Branch of the Raritan has been pretty good. It received the same initial stocking, as it did last year. The numbers aren't as light as they are on the South Branch. The main stem of the Raritan was stocked with a lot of fish during initial stocking. I haven't heard any reports from people down stream of Duke Island Park falls.

Minnows or Rapala(silver and black).

Hope that helps!
