opening day trout union county

I was fishing a well known river in union county...I usually avoid the lakes until a little after opening week..sorry to hear u didn't do well...

Pretty much the same thing nothing caught at most places I checked on the D&R Feeder Canal this morning. The guy next to me this morning caught nine in the first 10 minutes and I caught three. One was to small so I released it. But we were the exception as I didn't see anyone else catch anything until later in the morning when other people started invading our side of the bridge. All browns too, I thought they were stocking rainbows? Heading back down there now to see if they are bitting again.

No I was at the Raritan at the meet and greet. I drive by the pond twice a day, and there were guys finishing there almost every day.

It was a sad scene there.
I hate living in New Jersey. New Jersey in general and Union County in particular is degrading into a third world country.

A fish and game agency would never attempt to conduct an opening-day in Guadalajara or Port-au-Prince and they can't conduct an opening day here. That's just the way it is.

I know in my lake i caught the hell outa em b4 opening day just to smarten em up im talking fish after fish after fish and put everyone back happy and healthy! so the bucket brigade didnt take em all and it was completely legal!
