If I hit something on the drive there, I will bring it. Hopefully it won't be a hitchhiker.

I think you should do a drive by Monmouth University on your way to Franks and
recruit the cheer leading squad and women's volleyball team to entertain us. What happens at Wok n Roll stays at Wok n Role

I'm bringing a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon & a celerbratory bottle of Martini & Rossi Asti for starters. Hopefully Tautog won't hit a skunk on the way over I'm not sure how well that would go over for diner.

I remember early on in my career going to a training session and trainer described when meeting with a customer we should always under promise and over deliver. The thinking behind it was that you could minimize the risk of having an unhappy customer if you set lower expectations in case things did not go as you had planned. That philosophy never set well with me as I am not one to play it safe or try to be average. I am more of the philosophy of going above and beyond one's expectations. Set high expectations and then over deliver. Tonight's event was an example of this as I knew Frank would go above and beyond my expectations and host a great night for us. Not only did he go above what I expected he took it to another level. I am so very fortunate to have him as a friend and am so grateful for his generosity and all the njfishing members that contributed to my Fundraiser. I think we will be making the Spring Fling an annual event going forward for years to come. Enclosed are some pictures from tonight's event.

I will try to give you a play by play in pictures

1. Wok N Roll - Asian Fusion If you are looking for a nice place to bring the wife, family, girlfriend or if planning a larger event, Frank will not disappoint. Above and Beyond expectations

2,3,4 The place is Amazing as the décor and the layout is very tastefully done

5. Frank Qui the owner photo bombing

6. Frank Qui the man who wears many hats. Owner, host, waiter, front desk order taker, comedian, dishwasher, father, fisherman. The man can do it all

7,8,9,10 When the first course came out after the soup was served I thought to myself this food is Outstanding. Then the dishes kept coming out until we all cried uncle.

Continued from page 5

After some great food and drinks things started to get a little weird as some old guy wearing an embroidered blackfish hat and sweatshirt started showing off a rod he recently finished. A total rebuild based on older Diawa Sealine rod that he stripped down and totally rebuilt with new guides, reel seat, extension and grips. Rod came out SWEET. He kept going around to everyone and asked them to touch his ROD. Kevin from Fishtank could not resist and started yanking on his rod as hard as he could. Blackfish Doug was in heaven as you can see by the smile on his face as the sensitive tip and strong backbone telegraphed the simulated bite of a blackfish pouncing on a crab.

I had Frank pick the winner of the second Annual Hi Mar Fishing Flea Market Fundraiser Rod. What are the chances of the same guy winning the raffle rod 2 years in a row. I would say chances would be slim to none. Well that was not the case as our very own Larry (Heartattack) must have some real good MOJO going on as he won for the second year in a row. Last year it was a custom Fish Poison fluke rod that was donated by Kevin Bogan and this year it was custom All Star spinning rod with custom inlays I donated for the cause. Well you know what they say " Good things happen to Good people"

I want to thank everyone for coming. It was great to see Topeka Boy as he has had a tough year and he looks great. I expect to see some great fishing reports from him this year. Guys really were glad to see him as he bought a nice bottle of Cognac to share with the crowd. Got to see some old faces and meet some new ones to add to my fishing family.

Mike(Fishprof) and his wife. Great people and a wealth of knowledge. Really enjoyed speaking with them. What a team, he catches the fish and she cleans, fillets and cooks them. She is a true keeper. Did I mention she fillets fish.

Kevin (Fishtank) Appreciate your generosity. If you are looking to catch some fish you should give Fishtank a call. Capt. Tommy Joseph is a legend and will go above and beyond to get you on the fish.

Scott - Any friend of Kevin and Capt Tommy J. is a friend of mine.

Bob - Great meeting you and hope to fish with you this season

Well we got Spring Fling 2014 off to a great start. If the rest of the year turns out as good, 2014 will go Above & Beyond our expectations.
