NJ Trout Stocking Shortened from 7 to 4 Weeks

Don't believe money is the problem, they had almost a million to build a boat launch. I think shit just happens. They have disease outbreaks and people get infections in the best hospitals around. I have confidence they will tract down the problem and maybe just a couple gallons of bleach will solve it. I think NJ fish and wildlife has be doing a great job for many years and they have my support and confidence in these bad times. The price of a licence and a trout stamp is a bargain. Went down 5 bucks for me this year, getting old has some bennies.

I see they are stocking the Passaic from Great Falls to the Dundee Dam. So I'm assuming the Wayne/Lincoln Park 2 Bridge Area will not be stocked ? Can anyone shed some light on this ? Thanks

There are existing Trout waters that connect to the Passaic above the Great Falls, but none that connect below the Great Falls...which is why they picked this area. Nothing for Two Bridges but the usual Pike and Channel Cat stockings.

Honestly stocking trout in that section of the Passaic is essentially useless. For one its pike candy and secondly who's going to eat one if they catch a trout in that area because I certainly will not. Also does this keen now I cant fish that section of river during those 4 weeks because its "trout stocked waters "? One thing I do know for sure though is ill be purchasing a few big trout patterned jerkbaits.
