LH toothy monster

Ill save the perch, crappie, gill pics for 2moro's events, and get straight to the fish porn! Anthony (jackstraw) headed for LH at like 3am solo, I met up w him around 630 at a deepwater ridge and we preceeded to jig up lotsa fish. He was just about to pack up then this monster took a fathead on a big spoon jig and an epic 15-20 min battle erupted. 10# powerpro, 8lb floro leader, 28" medium action ice stick, LOTS of patience and finesse........I wouldnt have beleived it if I didnt see it.......the look on my face kneeling by the hole freezing my a** off then I saw this giants head, and BARELY getting it thru the hole, no joke......CPR'd quick and she swam off perfect, this was 48"-49" and FAT as a PIG.......

I'm really not much of a fresh water guy (other than steelhead and browns at the Salmon River) but that my friend is a fish of a lifetime. Congratulations on a catch and even better job on the release. That's a memory you'll never forget! Some real giants roaming the waters of Hopatcong, good to see a healthy fishery for such a trophy fish!
