Was it a drift boat trip? Nice fish, I thought the delaware was closed to fishing that far north?

.

Great report.
I've never targeted walleye on the Delaware, but I've caught them inadvertantly when bass fishing there.
I've found they're more active during the day when the water is high and turbid.

Glad you got out. I tried to seal the deal over my vacation but the weather window closed rather fast. Book your spring trip now

Most of the walleye were caught in 10-15 feet of water in areas of swirling current. Low and slow with the presentation was the ticket.

We fished from a drift boat; Pond Eddy is far too deep to wade. Only the East and West branches are closed this time of year; the main stem is open for business 24/7/365!
