One other thing I noticed that you have to keep after is the optional reel clamp screws. The one that goes on the back of your rod and screws into the reel seat with 2 screws. If you decide to use the clamp, at least once a year, I would back those screws out and regrease them. Did not do this on one of my reels that I had on the same pole for several years and could not get it off the pole. Finally wound up twisting the screws heads off and had to send it back to the factory for them to put a new seat on the reel.. While they were at it they serviced the entire reel for me too. Had it back in a week good as new.
