Gerry another thing I do is first squirt some Reel-X, Corrosion-X, or I personally use TCI oil on the whole clicker assembly inside and out. Work the clicker to loosen things up, then hit it with a little grease. You'll be trouble free all season. While you're in there, you could dip the spool bearings in the same stuff, you'll be amazed how much smoother they become. I do other things to mine, but I won't say here or the Avet gods will cry.
