That's a great bass. Personally, I never spot-burn small ponds that have a lot of bass. There are just too many selfish bastards out there who love to take home every bass they catch in a bucket. Besides conservation officers, the only defense we have against this is keeping hot spots on the down-low.

Figure a 3 pound bass is like 18 inches. According to Pennsylvania biologists, that fish is likely 8 years old. What are the chances of a bass living eight years when the foreigner bucket brigade is hitting a lake hard and taking home everything they catch?

Good point I tried to change the title but it's still there. Maybe I'll delete the thread. But at least that place is catch and release only so they'd run a risk.

And no all of RV is accessible now the gates are open. During the summer you couldn't get elsewhere, now you can fish the whole shoreline.

No, don't delete the thread. It's a great report.

I just wanted to put it out there that not everybody is a conservation minded sportsman like yourself.

New Jersey is an especially tough place to grow large bass because of our short growing season and extremely high population density.

Yea I hear ya man. I don't bass fish too often so I didn't even think about it, but I am definitely pretty secretive about some of my carp honey holes so I'll be more mindful next time. Thanks for the reminder man
