Default Re: New reel

Yes. Canyon Reels offer enough drag to rip your arms off your body if you want the truth. Lol.

I have been using their reels for 3 years prior to anybody ever seeing one. Aside from the an occasional adjustment on a test reel here or there.... no issues. Canyon, Daiwa, Penn are my top 3 in that order.

Are you looking at braid or mono? If you go with braid.... you can downsize on the model. Canyon offers more drag than others do when you compare them side to side. We are a warranty center for them. I have not had many come into the shop. 2 selling points from the retail side are design ( size, ratings and colors) and price. The EX 16 is one of our best selling reels. Small, strong, plenty of line capacity.

Good luck. I would be happy to answer any questions up here or privately for you. ( and you don't have go buy from us to get answers). We are not like that.
