No one fishes like Capt. Paul Thompson, Porgy 1V out of Cape May. (10 minutes from Wildwood Crest) He's the most respected captain in the area for bottom fishing. His boat is right near the inlet in Cape May. The Wildwood boats have to run 30 minutes each way to get to the same inlet. Wasted fishing time! Porgy 1V is on the left side right over the bridge entering Cape May. Across the street from Jims Tackle Shop. There is also a little diner where you can pick up breakfast or lunch food for the day across from the boat. I'll be there fishing for a week in September. Can't wait. Let me know how you do.

Stayed at the Port Royal as well. Went out on the Starlight. My 10 year old son was high hook with a bunch of Kingfish. We had a good run of small weakies as well. Crew was great. Have been out on the Miss Chris before and they were good as well.

Just got back from the crest. Fishing is slow but you can get fish. Grab a boat out of cape may this will save an hour boat ride each way. good luck
