Thanks guys..IMO lakers taste great especially on the grill. They are infesting Merrill and RV so I suggest giving them a try on the table! Lets keep a good level of catch and release going on these browns though its the only way to maintain good fishing and not let Merrill become like RV. Big browns taste like crap anyway!

Nice catch! Its feast or famine at MC. Just before the storms are most productive. When the bite is on its on. Otherwise, it can be a long day there. The smaller lakers are a good eating fish for sure. Then again, small fish of any species are usually better eating. I was there on Monday and hooked up with a few. One took a favorite lure of mine after a lengthy battle.
