Default Re: fishing etiquette

I typically set up shop as far from anyone else as reasonably possible, especially if they are also fishing alone. For many of us, fishing time is our 'chill-out-and-relax-my-brain' time, and we want to spend it in solitude. It also helps to prevent line entanglement and people 'borrowing' gear. There is always a thief or some moochers wandering about any fishing spot. 'Hey bro can I get some sinkers/bait/bobbers?'
