They need to put some hybrids or other brackish type fish in there for it to do well... Musky and pike= turtle food

Never targeted pike or muskies but will say that the bass/carp/crappie/perch/catfish fishing is far from sub par

A couple years ago there was a massive fish kill in Deal Lake, mostly stripers and herring, which do well in brackish water. I believe lack of oxygen was the culprit.

I have always caught a good amount of large white perch and crappie in the lake. Mostly up in the fingers far from the Ocean. Hopefully some of those fish survived.

Does anyone know if the flume was damaged by the storm? If it is not in working order the herring run could be impacted.
