Default biggamefisherman1000's 2/6/13 Fishing Report on The Voyager

I did excellent. To be honest, this is my first overnight trip. Before sunrise, there we're good amounts of porgies that were nice sized. At sunrise, tons of sea bass. Got my limit on sea bass. Never had a sea bass and porgy trip like this in NJ. This would be one of my best fishing trips. Caught my biggest set of sea bass and porgies. Nothing like this happens inshore. You have to come to the mud hole to do it. Even if you caught a lot inshore, the sea bass and porgies most likely wouldn't be as big. Come on the Voyager if you want to do this type of fishing. It's a very good offshore boat. You'll have the same experience I have. You'll catch a good amount of fish.

You were quite a bit further than the Mud Hole. Though you do get a good shot of big porgies in the Mud Hole mid Nov to mid Dec.

Definitely not the mud hole...but sounds like you had a great trip. Congrats! Both the voyager and the angler are great boats!!!

Sorry for that. I meant to say offshore but not in the canyon. But thanks for correcting me with that.

Good for you BGF! The Jumbo Biscuit bite is like nothing else, when it gets going. You're not going to be easily satisfied after this experience. My trip for tomorrow got blown out and I'm hating life right now because of it!
